Easter on the Island (Not to be confused with Easter Island)

The Heywoods had to leave early Saturday morning and we wouldn't be back in time for the Easter egg hunt in our community, so we informed the Easter bunny to come on Friday morning. I am sure it was happy to oblige since it was probably the most beautiful setting for an Easter egg hunt ever.

Jake, who is obsessed with footballs, was given a set of football eggs to find. It took him a long time since he had to eat the candy from each egg before going onto the next egg.

The Dad's helped out the little egg hunters with hints as to where they were seeing eggs for where they stood.

The hunt was in the back yard of the beach house. Each hunter had its own color of egg to find. We found that Talia's yellow and Sam's green were the hardest to find as they camouflaged into the Hawaiian backdrop. As soon as we finished Jayne asked if we could do it again.

The afternoon was spend at the Lanikai Beach boogie boarding. The Heywoods got in every last drop of ocean and sun possible. That night Brian and Seth threw a party with a couple of our friends from Laie joining us. The kids swam and swam while the adults  hung out and ate some awesome Kahlua pork burritos. It was a great way to celebrate the week. We all went home tired, sunburned, and happy. It was a great 1st spring break (stay tuned for our 2nd spring break).
