On Vacation

This week is spring break. Not Hawaii's spring break, but Seattle's spring break. We celebrate all of the nation's spring breaks :), so this week we are on vacation. Our good friends from Seattle, the Heywood family came to Oahu to check up on us. Seth and Brian found the most fantastic beach house EVER on Lanikia beach in Kailua. The Heywood invited us to stay with them and we are having a great time exploring another side of the island. Both Heywood and us arrived on Saturday evening. The kids jumped in the pool and swam until 10 p.m., which is 1 a.m. in Seattle.

It was General Conference weekend, so we awoke early to listen. The live broadcast was at 6 a.m. and 10 a.m. Since the Heywoods still on Seattle time they had to problem getting up early. We were a bit more blurry eyed. Here is the sunrise  from our back deck at Lanikia.

The kids were having a serious case of the wiggles so during a song I told them to run to the beach. I forgot to leave out one instruction, and that was, to also come back from the beach. I had to go get them.

They made a giant nest to watch conference on. Jake love hiding inside the nest of pillows.

Hanging out between sessions.

Here they are below, tortured by having a swimming pool on Sunday.

They even lined up according to age. Not even posed.

We did twinner hair for Talia and Ellie. Cute friends.

In the evening we took a walk down the beautiful white sand beach of Lanikia. The water is crystal clear. The Mokulua Islands, seen in the pictures, are of just of the coast and can be accessed by sea kayak- which is on the agenda for this weeks adventures.

Jayne using Uncle Brian as her swing. She very resourceful with that darling smile of hers.
