The PCC- The Polynesian Cultural Center

We have had two opportunities to go to the Polynesian Cultural Center. Once with Cami and once with our Seattle friends, Rob and Katie Hammond. The kids love it so much and I feel like they learn so much each time they go. Below they are enjoy the delicious pineapple delight ice cream sundaes (and making these faces to make their Aunties Rachels jealous).
I told Ellie to get a picture with the ice cream delivery guys and then Jayne wanted one too.

Jayne is in love with the Polynesian dances. She loved the boat show and especially the night show. After each dance she would asking if it was the end (not wanting it to end).
They took some ukalele lessons and then of coarse they all wanted on.

The boat ride on the outrigger was fun. My friend commented that it looked like a ride at Disneyland but that this is the real thing.

Each of the villages give out tatoos. Sam and Jayne joined in and asked at every village for another. We didn't have enough time to visit all of the villages. So far with the kids we have visited Samoa, Tonga, and Tahiti. We're excited for friends and cousins to come into town to go the the other islands with us. We had a really sweet lady hook us up with some local annual pass to the PCC. So we plan on spending lots of time there. Like I said before, I feel like the kids learn so much when we are there. The people are so friendly, like Disneyland friendly, and there is so much to do. I am inspired by the PCC because it offers scholarships to most employees there so that they can attend BYU Hawaii. It provides the opportunity of education to many of the island people who could never afford a college education. It as gives presents each island in such a possitive light. So if you come to visit (hint hint), we have passes and we will join you at this wonderful place.

 Love these stone faces!
